Gothic Flower Child: MariaFrancescaPepe A/W 2012 Lookbook

Greetings Loved Ones,

Came across these photos during one of those Internet rabbit trail wanderings. I was looking for a different editorial and made this happy stumble-upon, the MariaFrancescaPepe Jewelry A/W 2012 Lookbook:

I would adorn myself in these jewels everyday if I had the resources to! So very Gothic Goddess.

Speaking of goddess, my dreams came true and I saw Florence and The Machine play Edgefield last night. Still on Cloud 9. And yes, I definitely fan-girled out and was right down near the stage, in the “pit”, pinned in on all sides by equally eager fans along with whom I sang and jumped and danced my heart out.

From my IG feed, a few more pics there.

Florence is a presence, a concoction of light and love with a heavy dose of the ethereal. It was like some celestial queen had come down to hold court with us, she was so regal but then so free too. Running and spinning all over the stage but then having these moments of real connection with the crowd. I swear to gawd our eyes met for a brief moment. WE HAD A MOMENT, GUYS. IT WAS REAL. I think she must have been trying to tell me something telepathically, like, “Come to London with me and we’ll be pals and we’ll go shopping together at vintage boutiques and have whirling dervish dance parties.” It’s really crazy what can happen in the 0.54 secs of a meaningful look! #TRUESTORY #FORTHEMOSTPART #BUTPROBABLYNOT

Here. This is not at all a quality video but it’s a tiny bit from last night:

Carry on, my beings of light. May the Universe shine upon you,

VARSITY BLUE

L to R: random sparkle bangles, Natalie B cross bracelet, letter arm candy homemade with love, more random sparkle

Gloria Vanderbilt boots from Darling Boutique, RVCA jorts, Ella Moss top. And jacket courtesy of St. Vincent de Paul.

I finally found my varsity jacket. And by finally found, I mean picked it up at the thrift store several months back for a whopping $1.50. Yes. One dollar and fifty cents. I don’t even know how it happened but it did and I’m pretty stoked about that. It’ll hold me over ’til my “real” varsity jacket gets here. (which will be sometime this month. EEeeeee!)

But to be perfectly honest, I kind of love my thifted West Virginia jacket and I don’t know if I’ll even want to switch it out for the new one that’s on the way. It’s entertaining to wear it out as it’s quite the conversation piece: No, I did not go to school in West Virginia nor have I ever visited but I look cool so what else matters??

See what I mean? Conversation starter. Or finisher. Something like that.

Bye Ladies and Lasses, stay golden!

x+o,

M
